Rafting

By: A.B.

Today was our first day rafting and it was a really great outing. We packed lunches after church because the five mile float normally takes 3 to 5 hours. The weather was perfect, just hot enough that swimming was refreshing instead of just simply freezing. This was good for me personally because I seem to have balance problems and fell out twice when we hit rocks. The kids were all safe and sound in the boats throughout the trip and really enjoyed themselves.

It seemed when we got back to camp that nearly all the staff and a lot of the campers has sunburns despite constant re application. The fact that most of the sunburns were oddly shaped, due to life jackets and spray-on sunscreen, only added to the fun of the trip. After rafting, we did normal camp activities such as campfire. Overall it was an amazing day and as usual I find myself in love with Tahoe and with the funny and amazing campers that come every year!
